Lotus Foods, known for producing unique heirloom and organic rice varieties, turned to us to help define and communicate their brand story at retail. For over a decade, we've collaborated each time the brand expanded into new categories, from their core rice line to Arare Rice Crackers, Pad Thai Noodles, Rice Delights, and beyond. Our partnership began with the development of a clear strategy centered around the concept that “Rice is Life,” highlighting the vital relationship between the farmers who grow the rice and the people who consume it. This powerful message was reflected in a packaging design that showcased the beauty of the rice and prominently featured the farmers themselves, creating an authentic and compelling on-shelf presence.

Building on the success of the brand's refreshed look, we extended Lotus Foods’ reach into new categories, with standout results. The Arare Rice Crackers, launched as an exclusive at Whole Foods, received strong feedback from buyers and exceeded initial sales expectations. Similarly, Pad Thai Noodles and Rice Delights found success in their respective markets. More recently, we helped Lotus Foods enter the fast-growing, but outdated, instant noodle space with Rice Ramen Noodle Soup Cups. By offering a healthier, more flavorful, and sustainably sourced rice noodle option, we transformed the category, combining Lotus Foods' sophisticated brand aesthetic with playful design elements to create a standout product. As Lotus Foods continues to expand its portfolio, we remain a trusted partner in helping them tell their evolving brand story.
